Oh, sweet little one. You are so precious and so loved.

What an honor it is to capture her newness and the love shared between their beautiful family. I photographed her BIG brother (HERE) when he was just five days old and then again last year (HERE). These amazing parents make seriously cute kiddos, don’t they? I’m looking forward to watching them grow, but in the meantime, I’ll just soak in their itty bitty-ness. Hoping their mom and dad are doing the same.

Exciting news! I was recently nominated for King5’s Best of Western Washington competition for Best Portrait Photography.  And, yes, if you’re wondering, I totally did the BIGGEST happy dance when I read the news! There’s still a few weeks left in the competition and I’d LOVE your support! Voting only takes a minute and anyone can vote from anywhere in the country. I’m so very thankful for the amazing support and love my dear friends, family and clients have shown already!  If you haven’t voted yet, it’s as simple as clicking the “Best Portrait Photography” link below. Thank you in advance!

Oh, and, since a post wouldn’t be the same without a few images to share, I’ve included a little sneak peek for the sweetest new parents below. You might recognize them from their “waiting for baby” post HERE. The way big sister Berdy loves her baby sister, just melts my heart. I just adore this beautiful family and feel so honored to have captured this incredible time in their lives!

Oh, precious little guy. Just five days new, with his full head of hair. His mommy and daddy beaming with love and pride. Such a beautiful afternoon filled with light and love (and laughs–those mustaches had us all cracking up). It’s these moments that I want my clients to cherish always. They’ll be many amazing moments ahead, but nothing exactly like this. Hug them. Squeeze them. Kiss them. Breath in that sweetness.

Until next time.

Baby H. (the cutie at the very top), who I guess I can’t call a “baby” anymore since he turned TWO today and now has a baby sister, seriously melts my heart! It runs in the family though, he’s got two of the most adorable and funny big sisters and the sweetest itty bitty baby sister ever! It just goes to show if your mom’s name is “J Sizzle” (okay, Jordon, but I call her J Sizzle or Siz), you’re going to be pretty darn special!

I spent the weekend with them in Arkansas just a couple of weeks ago. It was the weekend Ali’s bug was stolen in Los Angeles. If I couldn’t have been with Ali, I was so glad to be with my dear friends. I was a total mess and they brought me so much sunshine. I could’ve cried the entire weekend, but instead they had me laughing and smiling, rolling on the living room floor with the kiddos and playing hide ‘n seek upstairs. Oh, how I adore them with all my heart! It’s hard to believe it’s been two and a half short years since they’ve been in my life, seems like we’ve had a lifetime of friendship!

It occurred to us the night before I was leaving that we hadn’t taken a single image, it must have been 6:30 at that point. So, we quickly got the kiddos together for a little impromptu camera moment. Thankfully we had a teeny tiny bit of summer evening light left to play with. I just love the images we captured!

Happy Birthday to the sweetest little love, H. and big hugs to one of my very favorite families ever!
